Demarcus Robinson

Demarcus Robinson is an intriguing option. He played behind several different receivers in Kansas City in addition to the stars of the offense. Robinson had some good moments in the prolific offense of the Chiefs but he never cracked more than 449 yards in a season and could never get consistent playing time behind Tyreek Hill, Sammy Watkins, and Mecole Hardman.

Robinson also fell out of favor last season behind Hill, Hardman, and Byron Pringle and lost some value. However, Robinson always had a role in Kansas City and his ideal role with the Raiders is probably something similar as a 4th or 5th receiver.

Robinson has position versatility and can line up at any of the receiver positions, which likely made him attractive to the Raiders. They really place an emphasis on versatility and Robinson has enough ability to perform at all positions. However, he is probably not the most exciting option as a starting wide receiver.

The Raiders likely feel the same based on the contract he signed and are more interested in the depth option he provides. Robinson has good speed and route running and would definitely benefit from a lack of attention, but he had that experience in Kansas City and was still underwhelming.
