Predicting the superlatives for the Raiders’ ’22 season, and carefully explaining how I arrived at that prediction.
With the first few waves of free agency behind us, as well as the yearly NFL draft all wrapped up, the 2022 NFL off-season festivities are coming to an end. Teams leaguewide are beginning mandatory training camps, and the Las Vegas Raiders are no exception to that.
For the fans, this is an exciting time. This is the first time we’re able to see the new rosters come together in full, even if it is only practice. From here, we can see who catches our eye, and expand that into a fan favorite: Predictions.
For Raider Nation, seeing this year’s entire roster come together for the first time is particularly exciting. The Las Vegas Raiders added a large range of talent this off-season, doing so on both sides of the ball. Davante Adams headlines the new Raider acquisitions offensively, with Chandler Jones doing so on the other side. Key re-signings were also made, such as the All-Pro Maxx Crosby and QB Derek Carr.
The 2022 NFL draft gave Las Vegas’ a chance to add additional talent, most notably third-round pick Dylan Parham to help strengthen the offensive line.
As the team comes together to build chemistry and momentum moving forward, it’s time for us to make some early predictions for the upcoming NFL season. These predictions will include MVP, Rookie of the Year, Offensive Player of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year, Most Improved Player, Darkhorse breakout player, and Best free-agent acquisition.
Without further ado, let’s jump into this.
