Looking at the weapons at Derek Carr’s disposal in 2022, the Las Vegas Raiders have surrounded him with the best group of his career.

Statistically, Las Vegas Raiders quarterback Derek Carr has done it all during his eight seasons at the helm of the franchise. Rewriting the record book since being drafted in the second round of the 2014 NFL Draft out of Fresno State, Carr has had his fair share of highs and lows but is fresh off arguably his best season as a pro.

Despite the lack of a true WR1 on the outside in 2021, and tight end Darren Waller struggling with injuries, Carr was still able to set a career-high in passing yards. He also helped the Silver and Black to the playoffs for only the season time in his career, hopefully starting a trend that will land the franchise in the postseason more frequently now.

Going into 2022, you have to like the Raiders’ chances of getting back to the playoffs, especially with so much high-level talent around No. 4. Carr has the best weapons at his disposal that he has had his entire NFL career, which could correlate to him putting together a season for the ages for this franchise.

Raiders offense should be explosive in 2022

Just looking at the roster is enough to give Raiders fans chills, with arguably the best tight end in the league in Darren Waller, and a wide receiver many feels is No. 1 in Davante Adams. They also have one of the best slot receivers in Hunter Renfrow, who should flourish even more in Josh Mcdaniels’ system, while Carr also has a solid group of running backs behind him.

When comparing the Raiders to the rest of the NFL, which teams have that much talent at so many different position groups on the offensive side of the ball?

Of course, protection is going to be key for Carr, who played behind a rotating group of offensive linemen in front of him last year. If they can get some stability upfront, especially on the right side, this has the potential to be an offense that is one of the top-5 in the entire NFL when all is said and done.
