The Las Vegas Raiders have the chance to be special on the offensive side of the ball, and here, we predict their skill position groups.

When it comes to offense, the only question is whether or not the offensive line will hold up enough to protect Derek Carr and this offensive attack. Here, we look at the skill position groups, and which players could make the 53-man roster.

We start with the quarterbacks.

Early prediction for the 2022 Raiders offensive skill positions

Quarterbacks

  • Derek Carr
  • Nick Mullens
  • Jaret Stidham

Carr is the clear guy here. McDaniels committed to him and has always been a big fan of No. 4, with reports indicating that the Patriots attempted to trade for him last season. Carr is the undisputed starting quarterback again and has no clear-cut backup to truly push him.

Carr could easily have a career year under McDaniels with the addition of Davante Adams, an improved offensive line, and a better offensive system.

Mullens and Stidham will battle it out for the backup quarterback role. Early predictions say that Mullens will win the job simply based on his experience and guaranteed contract. Typically, many teams are not fond of keeping three quarterbacks on the roster, but the Raiders traded for Stidham.

McDaniels is clearly very fond of Stidham and wants him as a young quarterback to grow with. Typically, you don’t trade for a player and then cut him, especially a targeted player such as Stidham was, a player McDaniels has worked with for years.
