Early prediction for the 2022 Raiders offensive skill positions

Wide Receivers and Tight Ends

  • Davante Adams
  • Keelan Cole
  • Hunter Renfrow
  • Demarcus Robinson
  • Mack Hollins
  • Darren Waller
  • Jacob Hollister
  • Foster Moreau

The Raiders made a huge trade this offseason, bringing in Derek Carr’s close friend, college teammate, and best wide receiver in the NFL, Davante Adams. Adams will be the number one receiver and should continue to dominate the NFL with Carr. Hunter Renfrow will be the starting slot receiver after a breakout Pro Bowl season in 2021 and a new massive contract.

Renfrow should have more space with the addition of Adams. Cole, Robinson, and Hollins will battle for the starting spot opposite Adams, with Cole likely having the leg up. All of these players are good NFL receivers that will be good depth pieces and should rotate in plenty.

Hollins especially is a great special teams player who will continue that role. I have the Raiders only carrying five receivers due to the need for more secondary and defensive line depth. Tyron Johnson and Dillon Stoner could push for spots but are likely destined for the practice squad.

Waller returns as one of the best tight ends in the NFL. He should have even more space and targets under McDaniels who has featured tight ends for much of his career as a play-caller. It wouldn’t be a surprise if Waller sets career highs across the board. Moreau will be the player that benefits most from the addition of McDaniels.

McDaniels has deployed multiple tight end sets for much of his career and both of those tight ends have played major roles. Waller and Moreau should be just as, if not more, effective as Jonnu Smith and Hunter Henry last season.

The famous duo has been Rob Gronkowski and Aaron Hernandez, but Waller and Moreau are not that duo but could easily be major players this season. I expect a big season for both Waller and Moreau. Hollister is a great depth piece that has experience with McDaniels and could be a solid spot starter
