Raiders: No, Davante Adams won’t regress without Aaron Rodgers

The chemistry never left between Adams and Carr

The last time Carr and Adams took the field together as official teammates was in 2013, nearly one full decade ago. As such, it’s only reasonable to the question: Has the chemistry between Adams and Carr faded since Fresno State? The answer is no.

It’s a fair assumption to assume Carr and Adams didn’t see each other frequently once they hit the professional level, being one resided in Wisconsin, with the other on the west coast. Surprising, that assumption wouldn’t be accurate.

While on the Rich Eisen Show, Derek’s older brother, David Carr, gave the world some insight into what’s been happening behind the scenes.

“In the bay area, [Davante] bought a house right next to Derek. They worked in the off-season. They train together”, Carr told Eisen. “Derek moves to Vegas, Davante moves to Vegas.”

What’s more, David explains that his younger brother, Derek, compares each receiver he’s worked with to Davante Adams. “Every receiver. he does this like Davante..”, David went into detail explaining. “He’s always felt like [Adams] is hands down the best receiver he’s ever played with. He’s said that since he was 19 years old”.

Over the years, Carr has grown as a quarterback, and Adams has blossomed into a receiver in a league of his own. Although not the same players they were at Fresno State, the duo has made a great effort to stick together over the years, meeting each off-season and hosting workouts.

So, has the chemistry between the duo withered? No, because the pair didn’t allow much time to pass without meeting up and playing football together.
