The Las Vegas Raiders are likely to have a running back committee in 2022, and that is great news for Raider Nation.

Lately, there is a lot of excitement building around the Raiders franchise. The Raiders have a new head coach, Josh McDaniels, who some consider one of the best offensive minds in the game. As a result, the Raiders’ offense is expected to be better this coming year.

Derek Carr has a variety of weapons in the passing game thanks in large part to some offseason moves the Raiders made. He is reunited with his college teammate, Davante Adams, whom they acquired via trade with the Green Bay Packers. In addition, slot receiver, Hunter Renfrow, recently signed an extension.

Slot receivers usually thrive in McDaniels’ offense.

There is another position that silently excels in McDaniels’ offense…the running back spot. The run game is just as huge a part of this new offense as the passing game. This year the Raiders plan to use a running back by committee with Josh Jacobs, Zamir White, Kenyon Drake, Ameer Abdullah, Brandon Bolden, and Brittain Brown all on the roster heading into the summer.

There are five reasons why this is a good move by McDaniels and the Raiders.
