5 reasons a RB committee will be good for the Raiders in 2022

1.) This is what McDaniels is known for

You are sadly mistaken If you think the Raiders are just going to ask Carr to throw the ball all over the place. If nothing else the run game is going to set up the passing game.

This is what McDaniels did while he was running the Patriots’ offense. He had Damien Harris, Sony Michel, James White LaGarrette Blount, and Rex Burkhead at his disposal. Though they may not have all rushed for 1,000 yards in a season, they were solid enough for the offense to be successful. In other words, running the ball to set up the pass.

Here in Vegas, he is in a similar situation. He has a tremendous quarterback in Carr and a loaded backfield. His strategy should be able to work here as well.

2.) See What You Have For The Present And Future

With the loaded backfield like the Raiders have; it is best to see who fits which role first. For example,  one running back could be the featured back who gets the bulk of the carries. While another back could be a third-down/goal-line back. Another back could provide speed and give your other two backs a rest.

Jacobs is heading into the final year of his rookie contract after his fifth-year option was not picked up by the Raiders. There is a possibility he might not be here next year, so this will be a good opportunity to see where rookies, White and Brown fit in.
