The Las Vegas Raiders have the talent to do something special in 2022, and their head coach, Josh McDaniels, could benefit in a big way.

The 2022 season is coming off one of the most chaotic off-seasons ever, and the Las Vegas Raiders were very much involved. Not only was there a slew of big-name talent moving on to different franchises, but also a total of nine new head coaches were hired to replace their predecessors.

One of those names is Josh McDaniels. The Raiders hired not only the former New England Patriots offensive coordinator; they also brought over Dave Ziegler from the franchise to operate as the team’s new general manager.

In 2021, the Las Vegas Raiders overcame one of the most bizarre and unfortunate mid-season drama that the league has ever seen. Somehow the Raiders managed to pull things together and reach the postseason for the first time since 2016, despite the many pitfalls.

After deciding to part ways with the entire “Jon Gruden regime”, the Raiders decided to go the Patriot way, and give McDaniels a second chance at a head coaching position; a position he performed woefully in over a decade ago.

For a team that returned the majority of its top talent from a season ago, while adding major star power in the form of Davante Adams and Chandler Jones in the offseason, coupled with coming off of a 10-win season; it would seem that the Silver and Black should not be a dark horse this season right? Well, this is where things really get interesting.
