Las Vegas Raiders have the talent to be a top-5 offense in 2022
Carr’s experience
At quarterback, Derek Carr enters his ninth season at the helm, and while there has not been a ton of winning in that time, it is not due to a lack of effort on his part. He has re-written the Raiders’ passing record book, led the team to countless comeback victories, and for the most part, has been one of the more durable quarterbacks in the NFL.
Now, with more talent around him than ever, as well as some possible stability within the coaching staff, Carr could be in for his best season as a pro. David Ziegler shut down all the talk of him possibly leaving Las Vegas by inking him to a long-term extension, giving him the peace of mind that he is the guy, and this is his team.
With so much experience at his disposal, Carr has proven to show up big in the biggest spots, and he has likely already mastered Josh McDaniels’s offense. Carr has never thrown for over 5,000 yards in a season or 40 touchdowns, but with weapons like Adams, Renfrow, and tight end Darren Waller, that could change in 2022.
