Talent in the backfield

For years, Josh Jacobs has been the feature back for this Raiders franchise, and throughout his first three seasons in the NFL, he has certainly had his moments. He has been a Pro Bowl player, has carried this team at times, and when healthy, showed himself to be one of the better, young backs in the NFL.

That is where the caveat is, as Jacobs has never been a player that can stay healthy, and that has significantly hurt the Raiders at times. He got hot down the stretch in 2021 and was a key player in the team clinching a playoff spot, but the franchise is not taking any chances in 2022, as he is surrounded by excellent talent.

New head coach Josh McDaniels loves to work with different running backs during games, so Jacobs could see a lesser role in 2022. He will still be the starter, but will once again be joined by Kenyan Drake, as well as newcomers like Brandon Bolden and 2022 draft pick Zamir White, so the possibilities are endless at the position group.
