Raiders: 3 players Las Vegas can still trade for before 2022 training camp

Deion Jones

In his prime, Deion Jones was one of the top linebackers in the NFL. However, with Atlanta’s recent struggles, Jones has become an afterthought. In recent seasons, Jones has still been wildly productive and is just 27 years old, and has plenty of good years left.

Jones is fast and explosive and could inject some much-needed athleticism into the second level of the Raiders’ defense.

Jones carries a large cap hit, but only has 2 years left on his current deal that runs through his age 29 season. Jones is currently injured and will miss the rest of the offseason, but should be ready by the season opener. Jones adds leadership, explosiveness, sure tackling, and more to a defense, and with Atlanta rebuilding, he just doesn’t fit their timeline. Jones and Perryman would combine to be a top linebacker duo in the NFL this season and possibly beyond.
