Las Vegas Raiders 2022 opponent offseason review: Tennessee Titans
By Nick Bailey
The Tennessee Titans were the AFC’s number one seed last season in the playoffs but lost to eventual AFC Champion Cincinnati Bengals. Can they take the next step this season?
The Tennessee Titans are coming off one of the best regular seasons they’ve ever had as a franchise in 2021. They got the No. 1 seed in the AFC with a 12-5 record despite some of their major playmakers missing significant time with injuries.
Running back Derrick Henry was on his way to possibly breaking the all-time rushing record before he suffered a foot fracture and missed the last nine games of the season, and head coach Mike Vrabel won the 2021 Coach of the Year award. Unfortunately, all that regular-season success did not transfer over to the postseason as they fell to the Cincinnati Bengals, thanks in large part to turnovers by quarterback Ryan Tannehill.
The Titans made some major changes within the offense this offseason, including the release of several offensive linemen, a couple of wide receiver trades, and the signing of a new number one tight end.
