Raiders: 3 areas of concern that still linger entering 2022 training camp
Defensive Tackle
For the second offseason in a row, the Las Vegas Raiders have added a bunch of talent to the defensive tackle spot, drafting a few players via the 2022 NFL Draft, and bringing in some via free agency. Still, did they do enough at the position group, as they have been tied to Ndamukong Suh for some time now, and may have to bring in a talent like him to compete in the division this season.
Las Vegas has elite edge rushers in Maxx Crosby and Chandler Jones and should be able to get more than enough pressure coming off the edges. However, there are serious question marks about the middle of this defensive line, a spot that is so important in Patrick Graham’s base 3-4 defense.
Overall, this is a talented roster and one that is in better shape than it was a year ago today. However, the AFC West is going to be a tall mountain to climb, and the rest of the conference is loaded, so if the Raiders truly want to take a major step forward, they have to address some of these concerns in the coming weeks.
