Las Vegas Raiders 53-man roster prediction entering 2022 training camp
Cornerback (6): Trayvon Mullen, Rock Ya-Sin, Nate Hobbs, Anthony Averett, Amik Robinson, Darius Phillips
For the past few seasons, or possibly decades, the Raiders have had significant problems when it comes to the cornerback spot. Sure, Trayvon Mullen has looked good at times, but for the most part, the outside corners for this franchise have had a tough go for years now.
In 2021, the Silver and Black hit the jackpot with slot cornerback Nate Hobbs, who stepped into a starting role and became one of the best in the game at his position. This offseason, the Raiders swung a deal with the Indianapolis Colts to get Rock Ya-Sin, and he is a veteran guy who should start from Day 1.
Finally, we see some depth at the cornerback spot as well, as I believe Anthony Averett is going to challenge for a starting job. Amik Robertson has turned heads this offseason, and Darius Phillips should likely make the roster as a special teams ace. Overall, this is a nice group of talented cornerbacks.
