Defense: Carl Nassib, KJ Wright, Gerald McCoy

Three names that stand out when it comes to the defensive side of the ball are Carl Nassib, KJ Wright, and Gerald McCoy. These are three veteran guys who could help any team going into the 2022 season, and for them to still be free agents is a bit of a shock.

Nassib was given a large contract by the Raiders, and while he never lived up to the price tag, he did have some solid moments. He is a strong edge rusher who could be used in a depth role in 2022 and also give a team a few spot starts throughout the season.

Las Vegas added Wright before the 2022 season, and he appeared in all 17 games, making eight starts. He is also a veteran guy who is a solid locker room presence, so his contributions go far beyond just between the white lines.

Finally, Gerald McCoy is a guy many Raiders fans wanted the team to bring back, especially after a strong summer coming back from injury. Unfortunately, McCoy was injured and put on injured reserve in September of last season, appearing in only one game, so his chances of returning are slim.

However, some team should take a flier on him, as he showed his old explosiveness when healthy last year.
