After trading QB Deshaun Watson this offseason the Houston Texans are ready to start anew. Here is a review of the Raiders opponent’s offseason.

Where oh where to start with the Houston Texans, who the Las Vegas Raiders will battle it out against during the 2022 NFL season. There have many many changes, trials, and tribulations going on not only this offseason, but the last two offseasons, starting when former first-round pick and franchise quarterback Deshaun Watson officially requested a trade. But many terrible accusations made against Watson caused the trade market to dry up, leaving Watson to Texans’n the Texans active roster throughout the season without playing a single snap.

Now, with Watson officially gone the Texans look to move forward building around Davis Mills, a second-year quarterback that the Texans drafted in the round last year. The Houston Texans also made a coaching change.

They decided to fire David Culley after one season and hire last season’s Defensive Coordinator Lovie Smith, who also was the University of Illinois Head Coach when Las Vegas Raiders Slot Cornerback Nate Hobbs was there. Honestly, I believe they are just biding their time for another year or two before they can officially hire former NFL quarterback Josh McCown as their head coach.
