Las Vegas Raiders: 3 bold predictions for the 2022 offense

Derek Carr will lead the AFC West in Passing Yards

It is no big secret that the AFC West is loaded with talent at the quarterback position, as all four of the signal-callers in the division could be considered top-10 talents. Patrick Mahomes has been arguably the best quarterback in the NFL since taking over in Kansas City, and Justin Herbert is considered one of the bright young stars of the sport.

Then there is Russell Wilson, a Super Bowl-winning quarterback who was traded to the Denver Broncos this offseason. Wilson is a major upgrade for the Broncos, who had to roll with Drew Lock and Teddy Bridgewater at the position group last season, so in terms of the quarterback spot in the AFC West, each team is absolutely loaded.

Looking at the Raiders, they will have Derek Carr starting for the ninth straight season, and he has had a very solid run in the Silver and Black. However, with all of his new weapons heading into 2022, I believe he will take another step forward, and when all is said and done, he is going to be the division leader in passing yards.
