Las Vegas Raiders: 3 bold predictions for the 2022 offense
Josh Jacobs will rush for 1,000 yards
Since being drafted in the first round of the 2019 NFL Draft, Josh Jacobs has been the unquestioned feature back for the Raiders. However, this offseason the team decided to bolster the running back room, adding Brandon Bolden and rookie Zamir White to a group that already included Jacobs and Kenyan Drake.
Despite the additions, I believe Jacobs will still run for 1,000 yards in 2022.
Last season, the Patriots had several running backs to utilize, and starter Damien Harris still had nearly 1,000 yards on the ground. He finished with 929 yards in only 15 games, so if Jacobs can stay healthy for an entire 17-game slate, he should be able to eclipse the 1,000-yard mark even with Bolden and White getting a bunch of work.
Jacobs is a very good running back, and just because the team did not pick up his fifth-year option, does not mean he is not going to get the ball a lot in 2022. The others running backs will make an impact, but when all is said and done, Jacobs will have the most carries, and the most rushing yards on the team.
