Ways the Las Vegas Raiders won the 2022 offseason

Extended their stars

While bringing in some elite talent from outside the organization was huge this offseason, committing to some of the stars that helped raise the bar for the franchise was also key. The franchise decided to hand extensions to Maxx Crosby, Hunter Renfrow, and Derek Carr, three men who were key during the team’s playoff run last season.

That is the kind of move that is going to attract free agents to come and play for your organization, as the Raiders had been seen as a franchise that would be more willing to cut ties with their talent, instead of extending them. All three of those players are going to be around for a long time, and there are still elite stars, like Darren Waller, who need to be extended next.

Ziegler and his staff made it a point to show loyalty to cornerstone players this offseason, and that is going to go a long way in securing long-term success. The hope now is that the 2021 season and the playoff run were not a fluke, and the Silver and Black can be playoff contenders for years to come.
