The Las Vegas Raiders have the roster to make some real noise in 2022, and quarterback Derek Carr is going to lead them back to the playoffs.

With the 2022 training camp kicking off in Henderson, Nevada, the Las Vegas Raiders are on a quest to make it back to the playoffs. Last season, the Silver and Black had a year that was mired with negativity off the field, coupled with an outstanding run to close the regular season on it.

Now, with the previous regime in the rearview mirror, new general manager David Ziegler is looking to get this team back to the playoffs for a second consecutive season for the first time in 20 years. He has done a tremendous job adding elite talent to this roster, including wide receiver Davante Adams, the best in the league at the position group.

Also, Adams happens to be very close with quarterback Derek Carr, a player who put this franchise on his back down the stretch in 2021. In fact, it is Carr and his leadership that is going to make the difference this season, as he has the best group of weapons around him of his career, and is ready to join the ranks of the elite quarterbacks in the NFL.

Raiders have their most talented roster in years

It is the ninth season that Carr has been the starting quarterback for this franchise, and going into the summer months, you have to be excited about the team around him. He has two elite wideouts, an impressive and deep group of running backs, as well as arguably the best tight end in the NFL as well.

However, he is also a quarterback who has been through a ton of losing, and despite all of that, is still one of the clutch signal-callers in the game. No other QB has led their team to more fourth-quarter comeback wins, and in a very tight AFC West division, that could prove to be the difference in 2022.

Justin Herbert, Patrick Mahomes, and Russell Wilson are elite quarterbacks, there is no denying that, but Carr is certainly no slouch either. In the end, his play is going to lead the Raiders back to the Promised Land, and hopefully, his first playoff victory as the starter.
