The Las Vegas Raiders enter training camp with a talented group but will have to trim the roster before Week 1. Here are five possible veteran cut candidates.

The Las Vegas Raiders enter the 2022 season with Super Bowl aspirations, a lofty goal that is warranted given the improvements made to the roster. After navigating a season of turmoil the Raiders finished second in the AFC West and punched their ticket to a Wild Card playoff berth last season.

Las Vegas would fall to the eventual AFC Champion Cincinnati Bengals by a single touchdown.

A Wild Card appearance is no longer satisfactory for this organization and the higher expectations for 2022 are illustrated by the roster improvements made this offseason. The Raiders traded for the best wide receiver in the NFL in Davante Adams to give Derek Carr a number one receiving threat on the outside.

They bolstered the pass rush by signing future Hall-of-Famer Chandler Jones to pair with Pro Bowler Maxx Crosby on the edge. They extended both Carr and his dependable weapon on third down in Hunter Renfrow, cementing their goal of running it back.

The Raiders have talent throughout the roster as they enter training camp and it sets up several positional battles. New head coach Josh McDaniels and General Manager Dave Ziegler will need to make a few tough decisions as they look to trim the roster to 55 for Week 1, which could mean a few familiar faces are let go.

Here are four possible Raiders veteran cut candidates as training camp moves forward.
