Las Vegas Raiders: Veterans who need a good showing in Hall of Fame Game
Clelin Ferrell
If there is one player who needs a big preseason more than anybody it is former first-round selection, Clelin Ferrell. Las Vegas bolstered their pass rush in a big way this offseason, bringing in Chandler Jones, a former All-Pro who is going to be the ultimate complement to rising superstar, Maxx Crosby.
Behind those two players, it will be interesting to see who wins regular playing time as the third edge rusher. Ferrell is someone who has not done much in terms of the pass rush coming off the edge and has looked better on the inside, but in a 3-4 defense, finding time in there could prove to be tough as well.
When it comes to cut candidates, Ferrell is a name that comes up a lot, and he is also very young and could be considered someone teams may want to trade for. Either way, his time with the Raiders could be over if he does not put together some good tape over the next few weeks, as he was not a draft pick of the current regime, and is running out of places to make an impact.
