Raiders vs Jaguars: Things to watch for during the 2022 Hall Of Fame Game

WR3

Of course, wide receiver is no longer a hole for the Raiders after the acquisition of Davante Adams. The NFL’s premier player at the position, he and Carr will look to rekindle the magic they had while at Fresno State. Playing next to him in the slot will be last year’s breakout star, Hunter Renfrow. One of Carr’s favorite targets, he is nearly unstoppable at times.

Aside from the two stars, however, who is going to secure the third wide receiver spot? After all, the Raiders made several moves to acquire depth at the position and have put themselves in a position to have a real battle for playing time.

Currently, there appear to be four players all fighting for the spot: Tyron Johnson, Mack Hollins, Demarcus Robinson, and Keelan Cole. All of these players are veterans and could provide the team with something a little bit different.

The leaders at this point appear to be Johnson and Hollins. Johnson, a speed threat who spent last year with the team as well, would give the Vegas offense some juice that it currently lacks. Hollins on the other hand is known as a more physical player who makes plays on the ball through traffic.

All four of these players should play on Thursday so we will get a solid indicator of where these receivers currently stand in the pecking order.
