Las Vegas Raiders: 3 surprises from the 2022 Hall of Fame Game
The play of Jarrett Stidham
One big storyline this offseason will be who backs up Derek Carr, a veteran signal-caller entering his ninth season as the starter for this franchise. New general manager David Ziegler revamped the position group, adding the likes of Nick Mullens and Jarrett Stidham, so expect that competition to rage on all summer long.
On Thursday, the play of Stidham really stood out, as he connected with Keenan Cole on the first drive, and really looked solid with his arm and his legs. His touchdown run in the second quarter gave the Raiders a 20-0 lead going into the half, and if the roster was being produced tomorrow, he would be the No. 2.
So there you have it, the Raiders are officially off and running for their 2022 NFL season. There is a lot to like about this club, and on Thursday night, even without some of their star players on the sidelines, the Silver and Black put the rest of the league on notice.
