During the Hall of Fame Game, we got our first look at Raiders rookie RB Zamir White, and he looked even better than advertised.

The Las Vegas Raiders had a business-like victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars during the 2022 Hall of Fame Game. To be honest, it was as clean a Raiders victory as you could have hoped for, as the defense was opportunistic, the offense looked like a juggernaut at times, and Daniel Carlson booted a 55-yard field goal.

Overall, we got to see the emergence of some brand new Raiders, including guys like Darius Phillips and Tyron Johnson, who stood out. Also, rookie Zamir White gave us his first look at what he could be for this offense, and it was more than impressive.

White showed he has incredible abilities in the run and passing game, while also showing the kind of mentality that could make him a feature back down the road. He runs downhill, is not afraid to make contact, and you could see why he earned the nickname ‘Zeus’ during his journey to the NFL.

Las Vegas has incredible depth at the running back position, but White certainly turned heads on Thursday night.

Raiders running back depth chart is something to keep an eye on this summer

Josh Jacobs got the start in the preseason opener, which was a bit surprising considering he is a prove player at the position, and will likely be the starting running back again this season. There have been some rumblings about the coaching staff and Jacobs not being on the same page, but he looked outstanding against Jacksonville, who had most of their starting defense in to start the game.

Brandon Bolden came over with new head coach Josh McDaniels from New England, and both he and Kenyan Drake are veterans who have done some nice things at the NFL level. However, this new regime drafted White, and on Thursday, we at least got a small sample of what he could be for this franchise this season, and beyond.
