Las Vegas Raiders: 2022 preseason Week 2 53-Man Roster Prediction
Running Backs: Josh Jacobs, Kenyan Drake, Zamir White, Brandon Bolden, Ameer Abdullah, Jakob Johnson
Wide Receivers: Davante Adams, Hunter Renfrow, Mack Hollins, Keelan Cole, Tyron Johnson, Demarcus Robinson
Tight End: Darren Waller, Foster Moreau, Jacob Hollister, Nick Bowers
At running back, the Raiders appear to be fans of the entire position group. After seeing all of them in action against the Jaguars in the first preseason game, it is difficult to know how this group will shake out. Alas, it was always this way during McDaniel’s time in New England.
With these four backs, Las Vegas should have no problem running the ball in a variety of different ways.
Davante Adams and Hunter Renfrow headline a group that cannot afford to have any injuries. If they stay healthy, look for those two to form perhaps the league’s premier receiving duo. Behind them, there are a lot of questions. However, there is also a lot of potential with players such as Johnson and Hollins.
Whoever nails down the third receiver spot should get the benefit of lots of single coverage.
One of the positions that McDaniel’s is known for utilizing is tight end. Whether it was Rob Gronkowski or Hunter Henry, tight ends often produced in the Patriots’ offense. In Las Vegas, he will have one of the games very best in Waller. Behind him, Moreau has all the potential to be a starting tight end in the league someday.
