Las Vegas Raiders who could sneak onto the 2022 roster

Tayshawn Bower

The season-ending injury to Kyler Fackrell and the injury to Clelin Ferrell have opened up a competition for the backup edge roster spots. 2021 3rd round pick Malcolm Koonce seems to have a grip on the 3rd pass rusher spot, but Tashawn Bower seems like he could be pushing for a role too.

The release of Gerri Green means that Bower will likely be on the roster until final cuts and should have a chance to play a big role in upcoming games.

Bower spent parts of three seasons in New England with Josh McDaniels and was a player of interest for the new regime. Bower and Koonce both had a sack in the preseason victory over the Vikings, his former team.

Bower made the Vikings roster as an undrafted free agent in 2019 and at 27 years old, looks to still have the explosiveness that helped him notch a roster spot. Bower will need to hold off Clelin Ferrell or any other competition thrown his way, but he very well could make this team.
