Recapping the Raiders, Dolphins game in week 2 of the ’22 preseason.

The Las Vegas Raiders – big, bad, and undefeated in the 2022 NFL preseason.

On Saturday, the Silver and Black took to Miami to face off against the Dolphins at Hard Rock Stadium. Stidham was the starting quarterback for the third contest in a row and continued his streak of leading at least one touchdown drive per game. This happened on the very first series of the contest, where Zamir White eventually capped things off with a run at the goal line.

Las Vegas was also able to record a safety, as linebacker Curtis Bolton tackled Teddy Bridgewater in the Dolphins’ end zone. Bridgewater was able to get the ball away just before hitting the ground, but couldn’t get the ball to sail past the line of scrimmage. 2 points, Raiders.

The Raiders went into the half with a 9-6 score, but the work was far from over. Unfortunately for Las Vegas, there was only one touchdown in the second half, and Miami was the benefactor. This put the Dolphins in front with a 13-12 lead. The Silver and Black would hit a field goal to go up 15-13, but let Miami march well into field goal range in the final two minutes of the game.

Things looked dark as the ‘Fins took the field to kick a potential game-winning field goal. Raider Nation closed their eyes, but not their ears, and listened to the sounds of the uprights shaking from their speakers. That’s right – the Dolphins missed their go-ahead kick in the final two minutes, giving Las Vegas both the ball and the win. Game set and match, Raiders 15-13.

3-0, baby.

With everyone up to speed on the recap, let’s go over some key takeaways from the contest.
