How the Las Vegas Raiders can return to the playoffs in 2022

Take care of business in the AFC West

There are no two ways about it, the 2022 AFC West is absolutely stacked. Each of the four teams is one that opposing teams are not going to be excited about seeing on their schedule.

The division boasts four of the top twelve quarterbacks in the entire NFL and has the elite playmakers to go along.

Last season, the AFC West was three seconds and a field goal away from sending three different teams to the postseason, and that was before the influx of talent into the division this past spring/summer. Guys like Russell Wilson, Davante Adams, Khalil Mack, etc.

This season, the division will be even better. Anything less than three playoff teams will be a major surprise.

This means that it is crucial for the Raiders to take care of their business in intra-divisional games during the upcoming campaign. If any of the AFC West teams struggle within the division, they can essentially kiss their playoff hopes goodbye.

Anything worse than a .500 (3-3) record in the division will be a major hit to the Raiders’ postseason aspirations. In order to reach its goals in 2022, Las Vegas will need to be completely locked in when seeing Kansas City, Denver, or Los Angeles on the schedule ahead.
