The Las Vegas Raiders should be dominant on offense in 2022, but questions are still lingering in terms of the right tackle spot.

This offseason has been rough for the Las Vegas Raiders offensive line in terms of development and unfortunate injuries. If the Silver and Black look to trade for a right tackle to bolster their line, they should keep a close eye on Isaiah Wynn, as he is experienced in McDaniels system, and should be able to contribute right away if put in the right position.

Pass protection has been a major struggle for the offensive line, giving up four or more sacks in all three of their first preseason games. They need help, and Wynn fits the brand of football McDaniels wants and will demand out of his players, he knows the system well.

Why the Raiders need to get Isaiah Wynn

In 518 pass block snaps last year, Wynn allowed just six sacks, five hits, and 28 hurries, along with an overall grade of 74.9 per PFf. If the price is right, Las Vegas should at least kick the tires on potentially landing him, as the offensive line is one player away from being very good in 2022.

Wynn is also a very versatile offensive lineman, having played both left and right tackle during his time with McDaniels in New England.

The truth is, the Silver and Black should be very explosive on the offensive side of the ball, this after adding All-Pro wideout Davante Adams this offseason. Las Vegas also bolstered the running back room, and if the offensive line can hold their own this upcoming season, the offense for the Raiders is going to be nearly impossible to stop for four quarters.

Isaiah Wynn would be an upgrade at right tackle immediately for the Raiders who are trying to find they’re starting five for the season but due to injuries and inconsistent play they’ve been having to swap out consistently to try and find the right guy.
