Week 1 of the 2022 regular season is upon us, and the Raiders open it up with a big showdown against a division rival the Los Angeles Chargers. Both teams have a lot of lofty expectations heading into this year as the AFC West shapes up to be one of, if not the most competitive division in the NFL.

For the Chargers, star quarterback Justin Herbert is going into his 3rd season, hoping to build on what has been a historic first two years of a career for any quarterback in the NFL. That unfortunately has only been the case when it comes to his stat lines, not in their team’s overall success.

For the Raiders, they’ve not only seen a complete overhaul within the front office and coaching staff but some big-name additions to the roster as well. The biggest of those names is former Packer’s star wide receiver and best friend of Derek Carr, Davante Adams.

As mentioned previously the expectation for the Raiders this season is as high as it’s ever been, and it starts with Week 1 on the road at SoFi Stadium. Here are 4 reasonable expectations for the Raiders as they try to start off the season 1-0.
