The Las Vegas Raiders head home to face an NFC West opponent in the Arizona Cardinals in Week 2, and here are the odds and prediction.

In Week 2 of the 2022 NFL season, the Las Vegas Raiders will head home to Allegiant Stadium to take on the Arizona Cardinals. The Silver and Black are coming off a tough Week 1 loss at the hands of division rival Los Angeles on the road, so this game will mark their home opener for this year’s campaign.

We saw a lot of ups and downs during the Raiders’ first game of the season, as the offensive line struggled, and Chargers QB Justin Herbert picked the defense apart in the first half. Both groups settled down after halftime, but it was ultimately a bunch of turnovers from Derek Carr that proved to be the difference.

Now, the Raiders turn the page to Arizona, and here is a quick look at the betting odds as we inch closer to game time.

Raiders vs Cardinals Odds Week 2

Over at the FanDuel Sportsbook, Las Vegas is the favorite in this matchup with their division rival, as the publication has the Silver and Black giving 5.5 points to the Cardinals. If you bet the Raiders straight up on the money line, the odds are -240, while a winning bet on the Cardinals brings +198. The over/under for this matchup is set at 51.5 points.

Raiders vs Cardinals Prediction Week 2

This will be the second straight game against an AFC West opponent for the Cardinals, who were drubbed at home against the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 1 by the score of 44-21. In that game, Patrick Mahomes had his way with the Cardinals’ defense, throwing for five touchdowns, something that could plague Arizona all season long.

In this matchup, I like Las Vegas to exploit that very significant weakness on this Cardinals roster, and Derek Carr to have a monster game. You can expect the Raiders offense to be firing on all cylinders, especially in front of what should be a rowdy Raider Nation crowd hoping to see Davante Adams’s first home touchdown.

Las Vegas is a team that many expect to challenge for a playoff spot, so they cannot afford to lose to a banged-up Cardinals team in Week 2. With Denver losing on Monday night, and Kansas City and Los Angeles playing on Thursday, Las Vegas can get back in the mix in the AFC West in a big way.

Final Score: Raiders 30, Cardinals 20
