3. The Raiders Are Really Good

Yes, the Raiders would lose this game to the Chargers in large part due to three interceptions from quarterback Derek Carr. However, these mistakes are quite fixable. On the first two interceptions, Carr simply made a poor throw and missed receivers that were open enough to create big plays. With some preseason rust probably still intact, these plays are likely to be converted sooner rather than later.

On Sunday, the Raiders played a really good team in the Los Angeles Chargers on the road and only lost by five points. Despite all the turnovers, sacks, and missed big plays, they had a chance to beat a good team in the end. In an AFC West that is expected to be a war, you can’t ask for much more if you are a Raiders fan.

With the Cardinals coming to Las Vegas next weekend, the Raiders offense should be in line for a big bounce-back game. After Patrick Mahomes just tossed five touchdowns against the weak Arizona defense, expect Carr to get back on track with a big game. The 2022 Las vegas Raiders are going to win a lot of games, they just shot themselves in the foot too often on Sunday.
