Las Vegas Raiders: Keys to victory against the Cardinals in Week 2

Utilize Darren Waller heavy in the gameplan

Against the Cardinals in Week 1, Travis Kelce had quite the day, so Josh McDaniels needs to make Darren Waller a focal point in the game plan. Darren Waller could have a similar day if not more productive with Davante Adams and Hunter Renfrow on the field, as he has more complementing weapons than Kelce does.

The passing game will be there, as the Cardinals’ secondary looked non-existent on Sunday, and Patrick Mahomes picked them apart anyway he wanted to. Fixing their issues against the tight end is going to be tough for the Cardinals this week, as they go from playing one elite tight end to another.

Getting the right matchup on Sunday shouldn’t be hard if Adams and Renfrow are on the field, as Arizona is going to make Adams the priority, drawing him more double teams. Defenses also have to account for Renfrow on every play, so that could lead to Waller being the one who excels against this defense.

The Cardinals don’t have the personnel the Chargers have to copy what they did to slow down the offense, Darren Waller will have a great game on Sunday if given the opportunities.
