Raiders at Chargers: Offensive Grades for 2022 Week 1

Running Back

With the team trailing most of the game, there was never really an opportunity for Josh Jacobs to establish himself in the running game. He averaged 5.7 yards a carry but only managed ten carried for the whole game and only one catch for 16 yards.

Brandon Bolden caught the season’s first touchdown for the Raiders but only managed three carries for seven yards rushing.

The yards per carry were encouraging, but the small sample size makes it hard to evaluate thoroughly. This was not the type of game script Josh McDaniels envisioned, so expect things to change as the season progresses.
