Raiders at Cardinals 2022 Week 2: Things to watch

Budda Baker/Isaiah Simmons v Darren Waller

With a versatile weapon like Darren Waller, the Cardinals will try and match up as best as they can with Budda Baker and Isaiah Simmons. Budda Baker is one of the best safeties in the NFL and will for sure make Waller work for every yard.

Isaiah Simmons is the big-body hybrid safety/linebacker and could match up with Waller with his premier size and speed.

The combination of both would be the best bet for the Cardinals, as Waller is so athletic and shifty that he presents so many problems. Waller can line up as the 1 or in the slot to get a favorable matchup in the quick game, and once he gets north and south he’s tough to bring down one on one.

The Cardinals will have to adjust their game plan from the one they had for Travis Kelce, who torched them in Week 1. This will be a must-watch in terms of individual matchups their best against one of the best tight ends in the league will be very interesting in the success of the passing game.
