Las Vegas Raiders at Titans 2022 Week 3: Bold Predictions

Derrick Henry is limited to under 50 rushing yards

Is it safe to say that Derrick Henry has lost a step to start this season? The performance stats speak for themselves, as Henry is averaging just 1.2 yards before contact per rushing attempt with an average of just 53.5 rushing yards per game. After Tennessee dealt away A.J. Brown in the offseason perhaps it’s much more straightforward for defenses to stack the box against the Titans’ only offensive threat.

The Raiders have more or less been solid through two weeks against the run, ranking 16th in rushing yards allowed per game at 109.5. That’s accounting for a Week 1 matchup against a Chargers team that has weapons all around, and against the Cardinals last week with a mobile quarterback in Kyler Murray that is hard to contain. Tennessee is much less imposing of a threat.

Without some notable receivers on the outside to account for and with the Titans making it no secret in leaning into the run game, Las Vegas’ defense should be prepared to counter in full. With the added motivation of not wanting to go 0-3 on the season, we’re predicting the Raiders defense to limit Henry to under 50 rushing yards in Week 3.
