These Raiders must step up against the Titans in Week 3

Derek Carr

The weight of the offense is on Derek Carr’s shoulders, and in Week 1, he struggled, throwing three interceptions. Three interceptions right out of the gate is not a good look on Carr with a whole host of weapons while having good check downs in Josh Jacobs and Brandon Bolden.

It has not been the start Carr would have wanted, especially considering the team brought in Adams to be a true WR1 this offseason.

Carr needs to step up in Week 3 on the road against a stout defense that has a solid pass rush, and good players in the secondary. The Week 2 effort against Buffalo is not indicative of the problems this defense could cause No. 4 and this offense on Sunday.

The veteran signal-caller must be more efficient with the ball, making the proper reads, and decision-making in the passing game for the offense to operate at a high level. Being the point guard of the offense, just get the ball to your playmakers in space and let them do the heavy lifting.

This is Derek Carr’s year to prove to everyone that he belongs to be mentioned with the top quarterbacks in the league, and he is not off to a great start.
