Raiders at Titans 2022 Week 3: Things we learned in the 24-22 loss

The lack of pass rush continues

The pass rush was another area of strength on paper for the Raiders heading into the season, but so far, the pass rush hasn’t produced at the level of their talent. The big signing in terms of that was Chandler Jones this offseason, and through three games, you would not even know he is on the team.

The Raiders spent big money on Jones, and as of right now, looks like a bad decision by Dave Ziegler. Maybe instead of another edge rusher, they should have spent more money on the offensive line, as they continue to kill drives with costly penalties and pressures.

Maxx Crosby had a strip sack on Sunday, that was the only sack on the day for the Raiders.

The Raiders need their all-star duo to show up and start producing quickly as the season is heading down the rabbit hole ever so quickly. Jones needs to prove he was worth that big contract and start getting to the quarterback, making plays for this defense that has held their own when the offense has struggled early this season.
