Las Vegas Raiders vs Tennessee Titans 2022 Week 3: Studs and Duds

Stud – Josh Jacobs

The drama surrounding Josh Jacobs leading up to this game kept Raiders fans guessing until the last minute as the star RB did not travel with the team due to illness but made the trip on a private plane arranged by the team. He had the questionable tag on him until Sunday morning and his availability was in doubt until the morning of.

Despite the illness, Jacobs came through with another good performance where he didn’t get enough touches due to game script or coaching decisions. Jacobs had 66 rushing yards on 13 carries and added another 31 yards on 5 receptions but was replaced by Brandon Bolden in key moments for inexplicable reasons. Bolden has been a Josh McDaniels favorite this year but he has done little aside from a nice touchdown catch in Week 1.

Jacobs is a dynamic player that has made the Raiders’ offensive line look better than it is with some nifty moves in the backfield and he deserves more touches in the run and screen game. He is a menace in the open field and the Raiders’ offense is better when he is allowed to make plays. Feed Josh Jacobs and you win the game, it’s as simple as that.
