After three weeks are the Raiders really the worst team in the AFC West?

team. 45. . 2-1. . Denver Broncos. 4

A bit of a controversial ranking, the Broncos are currently second in the AFC West. Despite that, almost no aspect of the team has looked good. Sure, the defense ranks pretty favorably amongst the league. However, they have also played a schedule that consists of the Seahawks, Texans, and 49ers.

On offense, despite the addition of star quarterback Russell Willson, they have looked abysmal. With just three touchdowns so far, new head coach Nathaniel Hackett has become known as perhaps the league’s worst coach overnight. With awful turnovers in the red zone becoming a habit, Denver barely eeked out wins over both the Texans and the 49ers.

As mentioned, yes, the defense has been stellar. Ranking third in yards allowed and second in points allowed, they are one of the league’s very best statistically. Alas, when the three quarterbacks you face are Geno Smith, Davis Mills, and Jimmy Garoppollo, the numbers are bound to be slightly inflated.

In week four, the Broncos will do battle with their AFC West rival Raiders in Las Vegas. A huge game for both teams, this will be the toughest game that Denver has played all season. Of course, it is totally plausible that this team will figure it out. After all, they are still a talented group but as of now, they are the worst team in the West.
