We are three weeks into the 2022 regular season, and shockingly, the Raiders find themselves without a victory. While the Silver and Black are winless, and the rest of the division has already notched a win, are they really the worst team in the division.
Here, we rank where the Raiders stand after three weeks.
After three weeks are the Raiders really the worst team in the AFC West?
The more things change, the more they stay the same in the NFL. While the Chiefs would lose on the road last week to Indianapolis, it was a frustrating game that they largely lost due to special team’s mistakes. It may not seem like a big deal, but entering a game without your kicker certainly can disrupt the game plan.
The first two weeks are where the Chiefs proved they are the class of the division, however. First, they went on the road to Arizona and pummeled the Cardinals. With five touchdown passes from Patrick Mahomes, he squashed all questions about whether he could succeed without Tyreek Hill. The defense was also able to hold Kyler Murray and co. to just 179 passing yards.
In week two they did battle with the Chargers at home. One of the most talented teams in the league, they are the biggest threat to the Chiefs division crown. In a close game, the Chiefs were able to make enough plays and secure a huge early season win over a team that has Super Bowl aspirations.
As long as the Chiefs have Patrick Mahomes and Andy Reid they will be a threat in the division. That much is obvious so far. Despite losing one of the league’s best receivers in Tyreek Hill, the machine just keeps moving along. At this point, it is hard to see them missing the playoffs barring a complete implosion.
