After three weeks are the Raiders really the worst team in the AFC West?
0-3. . Las Vegas Raiders. 3. team. 28.
How did we get to this point? After an off-season that saw the Raiders add two first-ballot Hall of Famers and a head coach with multiple Super Bowl wins on his resume, they are the only 0-3 team in the NFL.
Yet again, the Raiders’ biggest issue is scoring in the red zone. Despite having three of the NFL’s best receiving options, they cannot score in short-yardage situations. Furthermore, star receiver Davante Adams has seemingly been forgotten about at points over the last two weeks. So much so that it has become a league-wide discussion point.
Even still, the offense has been okay. Currently tenth in points per game and seventh in passing yards per game, they are moving the ball well. Alas, the situational football has not been up to snuff.
Going forward, the Raiders are in a precarious spot. At 0-3, there is no longer any margin for error and the schedule is not getting easier going into the bye week. With the Broncos and Chiefs up next, Las Vegas basically has to win both to stay in the playoff race. If they go 0-5, some think that could spell a quick end for first-year head coach Josh McDaniels.
