Las Vegas Raiders X-Factors against the Broncos in 2022 Week 4

Keep Davante Adams involved through all four quarters

After a Week 1 performance with 10 catches for 141 yards and a touchdown, Davante Adams‘ numbers have plummeted over the last two weeks. Adams has just seven catches for 48 total yards in that timespan, and although he’s recorded a touchdown in each outing the Raiders still find themselves at 0-3. Something has to change and Adams, Derek Carr, and Josh McDaniels all know it.

The task won’t come easy though, as Las Vegas will face a Broncos defense that is allowing the eighth-fewest passing completions (20.0) per game in the NFL this season. But that stat shouldn’t matter in the eyes of McDaniels and Carr; Adams is the Raiders’ WR1 and he needs to be involved in some capacity if Las Vegas hopes to get their first win of the season.

That means its up to McDaniels to craft a strategy to get his top wideout open, with Carr following through and connecting to his go-to target. Blame can go all-around across the roster, but in terms of keeping your best offensive player involved it means both the play-caller and the quarterback under center executing on every opportunity.
