Las Vegas Raiders vs Denver Broncos 2022 Week 4: Studs and Duds
Stud – Amik Robertson and the defense
Amik Robertson has become a playmaker on defense after a couple big plays at Allegiant Stadium this season. He followed up an interception of Kyler Murray in Week 2 with an incredible fumble return for a touchdown that swung the game in a major way for the Raiders.
The most impressive part of the return was how elusive and shifty the defensive back looked as he followed his blocks and navigated his way through a beleaguered Denver offense. It makes you wonder what Robertson could do as a return man if given the opportunity but that job appears to be either Hunter Renfrow’s or Keelan Cole’s.
Robertson added 3 tackles to his box score and they were big plays in their own right as he fought through blocks and diagnosed plays as they were happening to take down the Broncos receivers. He has developed into a solid player that has filled in admirably for more established veterans like Anthony Averett and Rock Ya-Sin as they recover from injury. He gets a nice test next week going against the Chiefs’ passing attack but a big-time turnover in that matchup could cement his status as the go-to playmaker on the Raiders’ defense.
