Keys to victory against the Chiefs in 2022 Week 5

Need pressure from both sides of the DL

The Las Vegas Raiders have one of the best edge rushers in the game in Maxx Crosby, who notched four tackles for a loss and two sacks against Denver on Sunday. This is a guy that is considered unblockable at times, and even when he is double-teamed, he still finds a way to get it done.

On the other side, not so much, as Chandler Jones has been non-existent through his first four games as a member of the Raiders. Head coach Josh McDaniels says he is making plays that do not show up on the stat sheet, but against Patrick Mahomes and company, he needs to start making plays that show up on the stat sheet, especially sacks.

Getting good pressure on both edges will help keep Mahomes in the pocket, and not allow him to go off-script, where he does his best work. Las Vegas has the talent in the secondary to make plays, as we saw last week, but keeping Mahomes on his toes, and uncomfortable is the only way to stop him.
