Las Vegas Raiders at Kansas City 2022 Week 5: Chiefs to Worry About

Chris Jones

Las Vegas offensive line continues to be an issue from mark week-to-week, which means the Raiders must keep an eye out for defensive tackle Chris Jones. Through the first four games of the season, Jones has totaled four tackles for a loss, four quarterback hits, a forced fumble, and two sacks. Against a division rival on primetime, there’s always the concern that Jones could elevate his production with the added motivation.

Kansas City is tied for sixth in the NFL with an average of 2.8 sacks registered per game. Oppositely, the Raiders are ranked 21st with an average of 2.5 sacks allowed per game. Las Vegas needs to match every point that the Chiefs put on the board, but that goal is moot if Derek Carr is consistently under pressure.

Whether that means the Raiders opt to bring in more bodies for pass protection or Josh McDaniels leans heavily into the run once again, Las Vegas has to work to contain or counter Jones’ effectiveness on Monday night.
