Five Reasons Why The Las Vegas Raiders Are Not Dead Yet
All of the Raiders’ losses have been by one score or less
Yes, a 1-4 record at this point in the season is frustrating for a team that had expectations to be a contender in 2022. That lofty goal was only heightened by adding Adams to an offense that boasted the likes of Jacobs, Darren Waller, and Hunter Renfrow. But what is truly frustrating is that all of Las Vegas’ losses have each been by one score or less.
How’s this for a stat: the Raiders’ four losses combined for a total of 14 points. That’s a grand total of two touchdowns. Has there been a better and more talented 1-4 team through five weeks than the Silver and Black?
Truth be told, that stat is as frustrating as it is hopeful. Las Vegas has not by any means been blown out amid their rough start to the season. Even when they come out the gate sluggish, they somehow find a way to be within a puncher’s chance of pulling off the win.
At some point, the football Gods have to work in the Raiders’ favor, and the fact that the Silver and Black have managed to keep every loss tightly contested should give reason to believe going forward.
