Wide Receivers

Davante Adams once again showed why he is one of the best in the league, with two deep touchdown passes and multiple pass interference calls forced. He was doubled the entire night but still found a way to make explosive plays on just three catches.

Now, as great as those plays were, Adams’ inability to secure that pass along the sideline on the final drive was a crucial mistake and a player of his caliber has to make that catch cleanly.

Outside of Adams, no one showed up. Mack Hollins had his worst game of the season with zero catches and missed multiple opportunities to make big plays. In the opening drive, he had a ball go off his chest along the sideline, then later, was called for an offensive PI on a pick play. And despite Carr making a questionable decision to throw to him in double coverage, Hollins had a real chance to catch the pass and couldn’t.

Hunter Renfrow had four catches, but only for 25 yards, and the third-string tight end Jesper Horsted has two catches after Darren Waller left early with an injury. With Carr only completing 19 passes, there wasn’t much opportunity to produce, And it came down to Adams making huge plays down the field.
